Did you know that June is one of the most popular months to get married? Longer days, beautiful weather, and summer break combine for the ideal opportunity to gather your loved ones together for celebration. Whether you’ve just said “yes” or are dreaming of wedding bells in your future, Lake Hartwell Country is home to exquisite venues and high-quality, local vendors who can help make your perfect day a dream come true.

Venues
No matter if it’s for your ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, or all of the above, your wedding venues are a major part of the big day. Not only should it be a stunning backdrop with plenty of space, but it should also be versatile enough to handle every part of your wedding. For a rustic atmosphere, we love Iron Oak Barn in Pendleton. Barn-themed weddings aren’t going away any time soon, and when you’re at Iron Oak, you can lean into the theme with wood paneled walls, sky-high ceiling beams, and a spacious interior with room for all your guests. The barn was the McGee Mule Barn in a previous life, and it’s been completely remodeled to be a welcoming event venue while maintaining its rich history.
Chattooga Belle Farm in Long Creek may be better known as a winery and distillery, but this 200-acre working farm also hosts weddings! Its incredible view of the mountains means your wedding photos will shine and your guests will be awed by the rolling landscape here in Lake Hartwell Country. They also offer an event manager from their own team to assist with wedding planning and execution, so the happy couple can focus on bigger details. For a scenic summer wedding in the mountains, you can’t go wrong with Chattooga Belle.
Lastly, Greenbrier Farms in Easley combines gorgeous outdoor spaces with weather-proof indoor options, giving you plenty of choices for whatever Mother Nature may bring. Their most unique location is the “Wedding Tree,” a massive tree with a forked trunk: a symbolic and visually appealing backdrop to vows. Based on your wedding package, everything can be taken care of on your wedding day – including in-house catering featuring delicious pizzas, pastas, and more.

Vendors
When you’re planning your wedding, you know there are tons of small details that can’t be overlooked! From rings and gowns to flowers and food, every component should be picture-perfect and give your guests – and you, of course – lasting memories.
Engagement rings, wedding bands, and jewelry for the big day itself are no small commitment. Of course, you want something glamorous to wear, but also something that reflects your love story. Skip the chain stores and pick a local jeweler, like Phil Jewelers in downtown Anderson or Turner’s Jewelers in Seneca. Not only do they have great selections, but they are also able to design custom pieces with you, building the jewelry to your unique size and specifications. Both also offer designer watches for men, adding a timeless accent piece for the groom.
When it comes to dresses for the bride and her bridal party, we also encourage you to shop local! Katharine Marie Bridal is Anderson’s only bridal boutique, and they turn your shopping trip into a holistic, memorable experience. Whether you have your dream silhouette in mind or if it’s your first stop to dress shop, the experienced stylists will help guide you to a flattering and beautiful gown. Avian Bridal Shop in Seneca also offers top-tier customer service, featuring bridal dresses, mother-of-the-bride dresses, and even prom or formal dance dresses – perfect for guests or maids of honor.
There are also plenty of great flower vendors in Lake Hartwell Country, but if you want a more unique – and personal – approach, why don’t you pick your own bouquet? Denver Downs Farm, located between Anderson and Sandy Springs, hosts an annual Sunflower Festival each June. Pick your own flowers and custom-build your bouquet, corsages, and decorations from their stunning selection of sunflower species.

From an intimate family wedding to an all-out gala, Lake Hartwell Country is the best backdrop to your big day. Rustic venues, one-of-a-kind décor, and beautiful garments will make your LHC wedding one to remember!
